Huawei Noah's Ark Laboratory at Markham is seeking several research interns to join our computer vision teams at Markham, Canada. We are looking for research scientists working in the areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision, and video understanding. As part of a fundamental research group, our innovations are expected to support R&D in the domains of video search/classification/caption/edit and human machine interaction. By joining our lab, you will have the chance to work on real world problems with industry funding. Our work will contribute to pushing the edge of technology innovation and we expect to publish our research results at top conferences. Collaboration, communication and curiosity will be key to your success. 


Working closely with other research scientists, research engineers, and research interns, you will:

  • Design state-of-the-art AI solutions and machine learning algorithms
  • Evaluate solutions with common benchmarking suites and with internal simulation environments & data sets


The team focuses on areas like Video Classification/Description, Action Localization, Muilt-modality and Self-supervised Learning problems by using Machine Learning, Image Processing and Computer Vision techniques.

This internship has a minimum 4 month duration with flexible start dates, and applicants are expected to be pursuing a PhD in Computer Science or ECE.

Outstanding master students may also be considered.
