The office of Julie Dzerowicz, Member of Parliament for Davenport, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Senior Community Manager. Could you be the perfect fit?

Reporting to the Member of Parliament, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing processes, methods and practices that support the Member’s office business and information management requirements, and for ensuring effective and timely service, outreach and communications. You will also be responsible for the overall management of the Member’s office, including managing all staff, overseeing human resources requirements in accordance with established House of Commons policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Member’s staff and office operations, including recruitment and training
  • Oversee outreach, events, scheduling, case management, correspondence, data, and communications.
  • Prepare and oversee meeting agendas, briefings, and reference materials.
  • Ensure professional, client‑focused responses to enquiries and brief the Member on required follow‑ups.
  • Establish and manage systems to track and coordinate correspondence, requests, invitations, and information.
  • Manage the Member’s budget in compliance with House of Commons policies.
  • Represent the Member professionally with media, constituents, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree in business administration or another relevant field OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Experiences:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressively senior positions managing staff and resources.
  • Experience working in a political environment;
  • Experience developing internal communications, briefing notes, and meeting records.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines and work independently to efficiently manage multiple and concurrent projects in a high-stress environment;
  • Knowledge of office administration methods, processes, and practices, as well as of policies pertaining to human and financial resources;
  • Knowledge of the processes, methods and systems supporting information management.
  • Ability to research, analyze and synthesize complex findings within a short time frame.
  • Excellent organization skills;
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to deal with people diplomatically and with tac;
  • High degree of discretion and superior skill in building and maintaining work relationships with internal and external clients.

Asset:

  • Knowledge or work (volunteer or paid) with any candidate of politician and any level of government.
