Job Description

Sales Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.  The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting, developing, promoting and selling to  individual and group sales goals to include the corporate, meetings and incentive market segments. Create property knowledge through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups. Candidate should possess at least three to five years of experience as a Sales Manager with a proven track record of success
Generate new business leads through sales calls, industry functions & hotel events.

  • Responsible for achieving individual and group sales goals to include the corporate, meetings and incentive market segments.
  • Maintain an on-going relationship with colleagues, hotel current and past clients
  • Strong knowledge of luxury hotels and client demographics associated with this market segment.
  • Responsible for following up with inquires and new leads within time set by DOSM
  • Work with DOSM client relationships and product development
  • Possess high-level negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management with attention to deadlines
  • Must be a proactive thinker and planner
  • Must have an understanding RFP and contract negotiation processes.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of three years’ experience in luxury hotel travel sales preferably in the Los Angeles metro market
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be a proactive thinker and planner
  • Must have an understanding RFP and contract negotiation processes.
  • Strong organizational and forecasting skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel & Outlook and property management software
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance & demeanor
