Did you know that 1 in 3 Americans have a criminal record and that 1 in 11 have a felony conviction? On average, it takes people 8.5 months to find a job after incarceration. That accounts for billions of dollars lost from the poorest communities in our country. We aim to reduce recidivism by cutting the time it takes to find a job in half.

We are looking for a remote full-stack software engineer, with expertise in .NET Core, database development, and building & supporting REST APIs. More than that, though, we’re looking for a problem solver, someone who is passionate & proud about building great software, and someone who wants to use their talents for meaningful impact & social good.

• Participate in sprint planning and story estimation, analyze & clarify business requirements, and document deployment tasks
• Contribute to development efforts on stories & defects according to business priorities and timelines
• Analyze performance metrics, error logs & stack traces to identify & resolve defects or potential issues
• Respond to technical questions, and provide guidance & suggestions on usability, performance optimization, architecture, and user experience
• Submit pull requests for developed features & defects
• Mentor other developers, and review & merge pull requests
• Learn and advise on new technologies
• Above all, make sure our users experience as little friction as possible
