Quality Assurance Engineer (Remote)

  • Full-time

Company Description

At HomeValet we're building a team to revolutionize the e-commerce delivery experience. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to help build a product and platform that will be used daily by millions of consumers in the US and across the world. Our platform provides contactless home delivery of groceries, packages, and medicine, connecting online retailers and couriers with a secure, temperature-controlled Smart Box outside of consumers' homes.

HomeValet is a remote-first company with offices in Tysons Corner, VA, Minneapolis, MN, and Evansville, IN.

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, it is ultimately your attention to detail that drives the experience that our customers have with our products. We expect that you will look beyond the defined requirements and work to ensure that our customers have applications that do what they need in ways that make it easy for them to accomplish it. We expect you to be involved early in the process and help us define a process that results in the best possible products given the constraints that we have to work with.

You will be responsible to develop and execute test plans for our applications, including the applications that run our hardware products, and the interactions between those applications. To do this, you’ll work closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers to understand requirements and translate those into robust test suites that ensure those requirements are met.

As a small company, we all wear many hats. We expect you to be able to work independently and to work with engineers that can do the same. Whatever you’re good at, we will find a way for you to be able to do it. We expect to rapidly grow both our market penetration and our team. We expect that you and your responsibilities will grow with us.

You’ll have the chance to be in at the very beginning of a company that we expect to transform home delivery, giving people the security, convenience, and reduced cost that will free them to focus on their family, life, and work. We expect you to bring your passion to our mission. We also expect you to take care of yourself because we’re in this for the long haul and we want you to be with us for it as well.
