Trainer

  • Full-time

Company Description

Must have a full UK driving licence. We do not offer sponsorship.

Home Instead Exeter & East Devon is rated Outstanding across all 5 categories by the CQC, one of only a handful of home care providers in the country to achieve this. We're looking for a Trainer to make sure every Care Professional who joins us is fully equipped, confident, and ready to deliver the kind of relationship-led care we're known for.

Job Description

This isn't a role where you deliver a session and move on. You'll follow our Care Professionals from their very first day of induction through to ongoing development, getting to know them, coaching them, and seeing the direct difference your training makes in clients' homes across Exeter and East Devon.

What you'll be doing

  • Delivering our induction training programme for every new Care Professional, and carrying out on-the-job competency assessments in clients' homes
  • Supporting new starters through their first three months and their ongoing development, working closely with the wider office team
  • Running refresher and ongoing development training in line with each Care Professional's development journey
  • Keeping our Learning Management System and training records accurate and fully up to date
  • Staying on top of developments in health and social care, so our training always reflects current best practice and legislation
  • Working alongside Care Professionals in the field and role modelling outstanding, values-led care

What we're looking for

  • A relevant, up-to-date training or assessor qualification
  • Experience delivering training, ideally with a good working knowledge of health and social care
  • Confident, engaging presentation skills, with the ability to motivate and bring out the best in others
  • Comfortable with everyday IT systems and happy to pick up new technology
  • A full UK driving licence -this role involves travel to Clients' homes for assessments and shadow visits

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota, with some flexibility across a Monday to Sunday working pattern
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required (we'll support you through this)

Qualifications

What you'll get in return

  • The chance to work for a genuinely Outstanding-rated care provider, not just a good one
  • A role with real variety: office-based planning one day, out in the community the next
  • A supportive, close-knit office team who care as much about our Care Professionals as we do about our clients

  • Travel allowance, great holiday and birthday holiday, pension, and other benefits

If you love helping people grow into confident, brilliant carers, and you want to be part of a team that's proud to do things properly, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now to join Home Instead Exeter & East Devon, call 01395 200600 or email [email protected] for more information.

Additional Information

If you have a passion for caring and the motivation to help us achieve our ambitions, we would love to hear from you.
