This is a part time position, but you will have the same, regular hours each week. The role will involve helping our clients with all their daily living tasks on weekdays and every other weekend.

Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and reliable caregiver to join our established team, providing personalised support to an adult living with Muscular Dystrophy, while also supporting other Home Instead clients.
As a Caregiver, you will visit clients in their own homes, supporting them with all aspects of their daily routines while also offering meaningful companionship. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
Our office is based in Worle, Weston-Super-Mare, and we support clients across a wide area, from Burnham-on-Sea to Clevedon and surrounding locations.

Key Responsibilities for Muscular Dystrophy client
Providing day-to-day support tailored to the client’s individual needs and preferences
Assisting with manual transfers (no hoisting involved)
Supporting with the use of an electric wheelchair
Driving an adaptive vehicle (training can be provided)
Promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
There will be various care visits between 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM. The role is for 3 or 4 weekdays plus every other weekend. Our clients are spread across Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon, Yatton, Congresbury, Blagdon, Burnham-on-Sea and adjoining areas.
As a Caregiver with Home Instead, you will be visiting Clients in their own homes to help them with all elements of their morning/teatime/evening/bedtime routines and provide meaningful companionship at the same time. This will also involve providing personal care assistance.

- Pay rate of £13.40 (before 6pm on weekdays) - £15.20 (after 6pm and all day on weekends) per hour.
- Double pay on Bank Holidays.
- Paid travel time plus paid mileage. Your pay, whenever you need it - take a portion of your pay early, no need to wait until payday.

Qualifications
Ideally you will have experience in supporting individuals with physical disabilities, particularly Muscular Dystrophy (or similar conditions). Personality, compassion and a sense of humour are also important to us, and we will provide you with full training and shadowing.
You will need to be comfortable with manual handling and transfers and willing to learn how to operate specialist equipment, including adaptive vehicles you will need to be open-minded, flexible, and able to adapt to the client’s preferred way of doing things.
Patient, respectful, and able to follow detailed, personalised support guidance
Due to having to travel to clients' own homes, we require candidates to have a UK driving licence and access to their own car.
