Job Description

The Care Professional Lead is responsible for ensuring the Care Professional journey is a positive experience. To support the Recruiter with all aspects of recruitment to enable the delivery of a responsive end to end recruitment service that incorporates a great candidate experience. Completing onboarding, ensuring they are supported within their role and have regular contact with them. Taking forward their supervisions and appraisals. Ensuring completion of a meaningful personal development plan. Gathering information to complete their Care Certificates. Supporting the office team with care processes to ensure the day goes smoothly

The Role

  • To complete selection and interviewing of suitable candidates, ensuring all ID and paperwork is compliant.
  • To manage all stages of on boarding ensuring the actions are tracked.
  • Support Care Professionals in their day-to-day role, ensuring they are aware of processes to support their employment. Holidays for example.
  • To complete Supervisions, Appraisals, and Personal Development Plans.
  • To support Care Professionals in the field with Support Visits and Observations.
  • Ensuring Care Professionals are competent and successful in their probation.
  • To plan and support the Care Professionals through their onboarding activities and ensuring they are providing the highest quality service to Clients.
  • Plan and ensure professional introductions of Care Professionals to Clients, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • To manage all activities required to ensure the support is timely and fully completed
  • To collate and complete the Care Certificates.
  • To ensure E Learning is completed timely and LUMIS is kept up to date
  • Manage and track the monthly activities.
  • To ensure all Certificates are presented to the Care Professionals.
  • To be a moving and handling and medication assessor.
  • Support the Care Team with additional tasks which may be required.
  • Deliver hands-on care to Clients as needed, maintaining a visible and supportive presence.
  • Participate in the On-Call Rota, including weekend coverage, to provide responsive support to Clients and the care team.
  • To be able to schedule visits when cover is required.
  • Answer telephone calls professionally, actioning and resolving messages promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all stakeholders, including Care Professionals, Clients, families, and external partners.
  • Champion the Home Instead ethos and business model, upholding company standards and values.

Qualifications

Level 2 or above Diploma in Health and Social Care desirable

  • A confident communicator including professional telephone manner, the ability to write quality records and converse at all levels.
  • At least 1-year practical care experience in a Health or Social Care environment, supporting people.
  • Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
  • Resilient, tenacious, and compassionate, with a “can do” attitude.
  • Smart, professional appearance and a positive role model for others.

Requirements:

  • Clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
  • Full driving license and daily access to a car.
  • Level 2 or above Diploma in Health and Social Care desirable
  • Confident in using a variety of digital systems and technology.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and current care legislation.
  • A team player who takes ownership and demonstrates accountability.

The Care Professional Lead works alternate weekends and has on call duties.

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
