Job Description

Role Details:

  • 30 hours per week
  • Salary: On application
  • On-call responsibilities: After sufficient training, you will be part of an on-call rota to support clients and care professionals.
  • Weekend work and flexibility for evening events required to attend community activities and networking opportunities.

What’s the role all about?

As our Community Engagement Officer, you will be the face of Home Instead, forging strong relationships with local businesses, charities, healthcare providers, and individuals who can refer clients and care professionals to our services. You'll also manage social media, create content, and attend events to boost our brand presence and promote our care services.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Building Relationships: Develop and nurture partnerships with key community figures, businesses, and referral providers.
  • Spreading the Word: Manage social media channels, create engaging content, and ensure our digital presence is strong.
  • Engaging the Community: Deliver talks, attend events (including evenings and weekends), and organise marketing activities to raise awareness of our services.
  • Tracking Your Impact: Use CRM systems to record and analyse outreach efforts, ensuring we’re always improving.
  • Providing Support: After training, you’ll join the on-call rota to assist clients and care professionals outside of office hours.

What We’re Looking For:

    We need someone who is:
    An exceptional networker who can build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts across the community.
    Experienced with CRM systems and confident in tracking engagement and referrals.
    Social media savvy with at least 3 years’ experience managing social media accounts for a business or organisation.
    A strong content creator, able to write engaging blogs and develop compelling digital content.
    Highly organised, self-motivated, and results-driven.
    Confident in delivering presentations and hosting community events.
    Able to work independently and manage their own schedule effectively.
    Able to develop and leverage their own professional network to create new business opportunities.
    A full UK driving licence holder with access to their own vehicle.
