Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Professional to join our team in Leigh, United Kingdom. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary requirements are met
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
  • Keep accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the care coordinator
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Respond promptly to clients' needs and emergencies
  • Travel to various locations within Leigh and surrounding areas to provide care

Qualifications

  • Valid driving licence and access to a car (essential)
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and personal care
  • Empathetic and patient approach to caregiving
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and alternate weekends
  • Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and dignity
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and training
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care setting
  • Basic understanding of home care practices and regulations
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field (desirable)
