About Us

Our group offices are in Segensworth, near Southampton and we are part of an industry leading business that looks after elderly people in their own homes. We are often referred to as the Purple Family. We have close to 200 clients and a similar number of staff currently operating from two offices. We have definite plans to grow with no compromise on quality of care.

The successful applicant will need to be efficient and accurate and able to meet deadlines always. Our accounting processes revolve around invoicing and payroll and whilst they are not unduly complicated they need to be accurate. You will be a team player and want to be part of a growing business that cares for the elderly in our community.

Home Instead Poole are the pioneers of relationship-led care for older people. Our group offices are in Segensworth and this role revolves around our Clients and the Care Professionals who look after them.

Job Purpose

To ensure that our clients receive the appropriate support and a high-quality service always.

The Role & Responsibilities

· Client Service. Ensure that quality care is delivered to each of our clients. You will understand our clients and create and update care plans along with completing service reviews and quality assurance visits. Where appropriate the care service will be amended in line with the clients changing needs. The building of positive working relationships with your clients and their key family members and other professionals that are involved in their care will be important. You may be required to perform new client consultations.

· Care Professionals. Match and introduce our Care Professionals to our clients and conduct regular supervision meetings. Maintaining regular communication with Care Professionals will be key along with supporting and mentoring them and checking and supporting their wellbeing.

· Quality Care. Delivering outstanding quality care always is a key objective for Home Instead and you will be expected to ensure compliance with Home Instead Franchise Standards, CQC Regulations and our Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy always.

· Team Player. Being willing to assist in any way possible and carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

· Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Knowledge & Skills

At least 2 years direct experience in the care sector delivering a wide range of personal care services. In addition experience with:

o Working with MAR sheets and medication supervision

o Delivering highest quality care & helping people live independently

o Good communication skills, with an ability to build rapport quickly

o Care management technology including providing support and training to care professionals

o Exposure to People Planner would be useful

· You will need to be honest, reliable & trustworthy

· You will need to pay attention to detail and have a personal mindset that delivers consistent accuracy of work outcomes

· We want you to effectively manage your own time to ensure deadlines are met.

· We want you to be able to work independently and in a focused manner as well as being able to work within a team.

· You will need to be adaptable to change, an agile learner and willing to train and assist others
