Job Description
Home Instead are seeking 2 Female Live-in Care Professionals who have care experience to work in Cardiff supporting our female client. Our client loves to get out every day visiting family, friends and doing her own shopping, it is therefore, important that you can drive and have access to your own vehicle. Due to the nature of our client's medical needs it is essential you are fluent in the English language.
Live In Care Objective:
To live-in the client’s home 24/7 two weeks on and two weeks respite, providing a variety of non-medical services that enhance the quality of their life. To help the client and their family meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion.
Job Description Duties of a Live In Care Professional
Provide 24/7 live-in care support for two consecutive weeks with 2 weeks respite
Personal Care – washing, dressing, personal care
Companionship
Activities – doing fun things together, hobbies and crafts
Cooking healthy and nutritious food – also grocery shopping
Medication – collecting prescriptions, administration of medication
Home help such as cleaning – ensuring their home is tidy and spotless
Accompany to social events and appointments, seeing family, friends etc

Qualifications
Qualifications/Essential Criteria:
Live In Care experience - Experience in care and having supported people with dementia is an essential requisite
Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
Good hygiene practice, including personal hygiene and a smart appearance
Being an excellent communicator
Have great attention to detail
Excellent time keeper who is organised and reliable
