In December 2010 Mark Greatbatch handed over the running of the East Herts & Uttlesford office to David Bassett and in 2022 David became Franchise Owner.

Job Description

Due to continued growth, Home Instead East Herts We  are looking for an On Call Coordinator to join our East Herts staffing team.

We are looking for a candidate with extensive knowledge of customer service delivery and a passion for quality care.

Key duties will include:

 

The role of the On Call Coordinator will be to work in our busy Out of hours team providing an essential service and supporting our care professional team and care users to deliver high-quality care.

You must be IT literate with good organisational and communication skills. An understanding of the care sector and scheduling would be an advantage but isn't necessarily essential as full training will be given.

 

You will monitor and support Care Professionals where delays occur by communicating with service users, and providing reassurance and solutions.

 

You will also liaise with other healthcare professionals where needed, keep systems and records up to date and act with the utmost integrity in this vital community service.

Additional Information

We are looking for:

• Understanding of care service provision, including up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations

• Working knowledge of using Call Monitoring systems

• IT skills and general office administrative duties within health and social care

• Commitment to ongoing training requirements

• Demonstrate effective and supportive communication skills

• A commitment to working flexibly according to the changing needs of the service, including On-call duties to include taking out-of-hours calls from the On-call Team, should the need arise and providing assistance for the cover of Clients

• A quick-thinking individual who can remain calm under pressure.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Shifts include:

 

5pm - 22.30pm Mon - Sunday

 

06.30am - 9am Mon - Sunday

 

9am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday
