Job Description

A position has become available for an On-Call Weekend Supervisor with Home Instead Hammersmith & Chiswick. You must live in West London to be considered for this position. 

This position is for weekends only, every weekend Friday 4.00pm - Monday morning

Pay rates - £250-300 p/w

The person applying for this position will need to have experience in care and be flexible, confident and able to work under their own initiative.  They will be required to perform a variety of on-call duties and to work closely with the Care Coordinator in order provide the highest quality service to clients.

Primary duties will include:

1.       Arriving at Home Instead office, in Chiswick, by 4.30pm on a Friday to go through the weekend schedule and any trouble spots that might arise with the Care Coordinator.

2.       After review, transferring office calls to on-call mobile phone

3.       During the weekend the supervisor’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

3.1.    Answering all incoming telephone calls and responding to them as need

3.2.    Communicating with CAREGivers and clients regarding scheduling as changes arise

3.3.    Taking messages and documenting all calls for office staff to respond to on Monday morning

3.4.    Contact on-call Manager when questions arise about clients or CAREGivers that require input from regular office staff

3.5.    Monitoring electronic logging in and logging out system 

3.6.    Cover emergency sickness or any unallocated calls over the weekend. This may mean that the person, may have to go and cover the client's visit. You will be paid extra for all visits/cover.

3.7.    Conduct client/CAREGiver introduction as necessary.

4.       Must be able to arrive at the office by Monday morning to pass on any pertinent information from the weekend.  Also to return mobile phone and to participate in our morning meeting to do a full handover.

Qualifications

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Must have access to own vehicle and live in West London due to the nature of the position 

NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

Preferably some experience with On Call duties, but not essential

Additional Information

Holiday pay is provided, as is mileage paid.  Access to own vehicle is essential.  All candidates new to Home Instead will need to provide 2 personal references and 2 professional references.
