The position commands a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 PA depending on experience, aptitude to grow the business and compatibility.

As the care manager of a Home Instead office, the incumbent will have the support of Central Office, plus a network of up to 240+ other registered managers throughout the network, to help ensure best practice is shared and maintained. - This is a fantastic opportunity for the incumbent to learn and expand their knowledge and leadership skills within the industry.

Please note in order to be suitable for the role you need to be living in the UK preferably within a 15 km radius of Crawley, West Sussex. 

Job Description

    s our Care Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our domiciliary care service ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care. This will include being responsible for the efficient running of the business, quality control, managing the needs of the clients and day-to-day management of internal staff and our Care Professionals. 

    In this varied and challenging role, you will be involved in:

    • Working closely with the Director to coordinate the development of a high quality private domiciliary care service for older people in the local area
    • Act as the Registered Manager managing the regulated activity for the office. 
    • Networking in the local community to raise awareness of the service
    • Promoting the highest standards of care and service
    • Recruiting and training Care Professionals
    • Converting new client enquiries and coordinating staffing rotas
    • Care planning and conducting risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements
    • Managing a team, making sure that exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly
    • Ensuring successful operation of quality control systems and performing quality assurance visits for clients
    • Continually reviewing and improving our processes to ensure the most effective and efficient service is always being delivered
    • Effectively managing complaints and incidents, carrying out investigations relating to the quality of the service and using those findings to initiate improvements
    • Promoting a positive culture in line with the Home Instead ethos and values.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate must have:

    • Excellent communication skills
    • Commercial business acumen
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills
    • Skills in assessment and care planning
    • Ability to cope with pressure
    • Ability to cope with change
    • A clear enhanced DBS certificate
    • A clean driving license
    • Must be acceptable as a Registered Manager to CQC satisfaction
    • The ability to develop and maintain the quality control system
    • A strong knowledge of the requirements of the Care Standards regulations
    • The ability to create and maintain administrative systems
    • The ability to recruit, select and effectively supervise a dispersed workforce
    • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
