Job Description

Job title: Scheduler (office based)
Location: Farnborough
Rate: £20,000 - £25,000 (based on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term (minimum 12 months)

Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered)

* You do not need to have care experience to be considered for this role as full training will be provided. However, you will be willing to learn and provide care if required.


Job Purpose

Home Instead Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet provides home care services for clients in their own homes, allowing them to remain living independently. We have a friendly office in North Camp, Farnborough from where we support our Care Professionals and clients.

Main Responsibilities

As a scheduler, you will work with our clients, Care Professionals and office team to:

  • Match our clients and Care Professionals based on skillset, interests and personal preferences.
  • Build weekly rotas for our Care Professionals, meeting their expectations with hours and travel.
  • Be the first point of contact for Care Professionals with any scheduling questions.
  • Ensure consistency in the weekly rotas of Care Professionals and clients.
  • Provide occasional on-call duty and provide care as and when necessary.
  • Manage Care Professionals annual leave to ensure we are always running a safe service.

 

Essential Criteria

  • You have a positive attitude, excellent phone manners, and patience.
  • You know the geographical area our team lives and works in well, or you will be willing to get to become familiar with our area.
  • You will have previous experience of scheduling or managing staff rotas in a field based role.
  • You are a driver with your own vehicle
  • You are a quick learner, who is comfortable with software systems.
  • You are a quick thinker, with attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • You enjoy meeting new people and working as part of a team.
  • Having experience in the care sector, or caring privately, is desirable but not essential.
