Job Description

The role of scheduler with Home Instead is a key part of the business. You will need to be able to build efficient schedules around our clients' needs and CAREGiver's availability. You will ensure schedules are prepared considering travel time between clients, holiday requests, training needs and last minute cancellations or sickness.

You will be responsive the changes in the schedule and liaise with with other relevant team members to co-ordinate small teams for our clients, ensuring they have continuity in their care with the same CAREGivers visiting each week. To do this you will also build excellent relationships with both CAREGivers and clients alike to ensure that communication is is both constant and efficient.

You will also ensure that good client and CAREGiver matches are in place - we match our clients and CAREGivers based on personality and interests and this is of great importance to us. You will work alongside the Care Team to ensure new and existing packages can be resourced and scheduled on a timely basis so that our client's expectations are met.

You will also carry out other duties deemed necessary to the role for the successful operation of the business. You will also ensure that your work is in compliance with Home Instead's Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy in respect of employment and service delivery.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience of working in a scheduling role within a home care or other relevant environment
  • Excellent computer skills with experience of Microsoft Office, Google Suite and the ability and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies where appropriate
  • A positive attitude and highly resilient personality with excellent communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • A team-player mind set with very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to multi-task.

Additional Information

You will need to be able to travel to our main office base in Shrewsbury and take on any adhoc duties deemed necessary so will need a full driver's license and access to reliable tranport.
