Home Instead (Altrincham, Sale & Wythenshawe) are looking for Carers to provide companionship, care & support to the older adults living in your local neighbourhood.

Becoming a Carer is so rewarding  and ideal for anyone who has spare time on their hands and wants to make a difference. Many of our CAREGivers join us as a way to engage with new people ,  they may have  retired or want to do something with their time. 

The older adults in our community deserve the highest quality of care and companionship and to be able to remain in the place, they feel the safest, at home.

What do Home Instead carers do?

  • Visit one or two older adults in your local community within their own home.
  • Provide companionship, friendship, care & support as well as help with everyday tasks.
  • Assist with personal care – we’re happy to talk that through with you.
  • Go on outings, shopping, appointments or attend activities together.
  • Prepare breakfast, dinner, or evening meal together.
  • Spend time together helping to combat loneliness and prevent isolation.
  • Help keep someone independent, safe and happy.
  • Be that person they can rely on and look forward to seeing every day.

 

Key Information

  • £10.60 - £11.60 per hour, plus mileage.
  • Minimum1 hour calls so you have the time to care
  • Double Time bank holidays.

Job Description

Would you like to be paid for doing something you love and making a real difference? 

As a Home Instead  carer  you will be visiting our clients / your neigbours in their own homes for an hour at a time, helping them with a variety of daily needs:

  • Getting to know your clients, understanding their needs and interests.
  • Carrying out general tasks like housework, laundry and shopping.
  • Helping with personal care like washing, toileting and supporting them to get dressed.
  • Food preparation and supporting with medication.

Not all our client’s needs are the same, so our care is not limitless. We treat our client’s as we would be caring for a family member.

    We care about the people that work for us, all our CAREGivers have the dedicated support of our friendly local office team with 24 hour on-call support, 365 days of the year.

    Qualifications

    Although it would be useful to have experience of working in a care setting, or you may have personal experience of caring for a family member, we are happy to hear from committed, engaging applicants that have no care experience. 

    We will put you through a first-class training program that will give you the confidence to carry out your tasks.

    This role is subject to DBS enhanced disclosure, completion of our 3 day pre-employment assessment training and references.
