Becoming a Home Care Worker

As one of our home carers, you’ll be earning up to £11.45 per hour with industry-leading training and support provided.

You will be required to work alternative weekends and due to the nature of the role and you will need a full UK driving license & access to reliable transportation to visit your clients.

No specific qualifications or background in care is required to become a care assistant. What’s more important is that you have a natural calling to care for people. With this intact, we provide all the training you need o to become one of our exceptional Home Instead CAREGivers.

Job Description

Help support clients with a variety of daily tasks, some of which may include:

  • Accompanying clients to appointments and social events.

  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks.

  • Running errands, picking up a prescription or doing some shopping.

  • Carry out some light housework, laundry, or ironing.

  • Provide medication reminders.

  • Helping someone to get out of bed in the morning or into bed at the end of their day.

  • Running a bath or shower and being close by in case they need assistance.

  • Assisting with dressing & undressing and personal care when required.

  • Above all, be the person who shows friendliness, warmth, and empathy.
