We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in the Gloucestershire area. As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help our clients keep their independence in their own home.

Home Instead is different to other agencies.

  • Evening visits to homes of older people from 6pm to 10 pm
  • Hourly visits if any would be of a minimum one hour
  • Our Care Professionals do not wear uniforms and they go back to the same clients all the time to build up that special relationship.
  • Home Instead is looking for Care Professionals in the Gloucester area to support clients on a part-time basis including every other weekend.
  • Care Professional pay rate: £12.32 - £13.44 including guaranteed holiday pay, Double time Bank Holidays.
  • You do not need previous experience as full, paid training is provided. However, you do need a full driving licence and access to a car.

As a Care Professional, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help keep our elderly clients safe and comfortable in their own home.  This can range from assisting with medication, shopping, booking Doctors’ appointments to managing personal care (where required).  As our customers live in their own homes, they need care visits that work around their lifestyle, we do not offer 24/7 care and generally calls are carried out between 6pm to 10 pm 10pm, as such was can offer our Care Assistants a wide range of shifts to meet their needs too!

  • Morning and part-time posts also available!

Qualifications

  • We are recruiting for attitude. So if you have your heart in the right place, we will train you to fill in any gaps in skills. For night care assistants a minimum of one year of care experience in a professional setting would be preferred. 
  • However, you must have a reliable means of transport as clients are predominately cared for in their own homes, or would like you to accompany them on appointments or outings and can live in remote areas.
  • You will be required to undergo a full DBS check and satisfactory references.
  • This role will be based in and around the Forest of Dean area based on your location.
