Parkinson's Disease

Our client lives with his wife who is his main carer. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease some 15 years ago and his wife has supported him throughout. The client also has mixed dementia which often accompanies Parkinson's. They are looking for support from a male live in caregiver. The client responds well to male caregivers. The duties will involve personal care in the morning, administration of medication and ensuring that the client is safe throughout the day. The client is well set up at home with mobility aids and equipment for when he has bad mobility. Currently, his mobility is good and he is able to mobilise independently. Wife is still involved in the care and will support the client as much as possible with other daily routines including home chores and cooking. They are looking for someone who can interact with the client, and become part of the family supporting him and providing the wife with much needed respite.
