Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our senior clients to join our team in the Woking, Guildford and Byfleet area of Surrey. As a CAREGiver (Carer), you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them remain independent and safe in their own home.

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and will be comfortable spending time in the company of others.

There are three broad aspects to the role with a few examples listed below:

Companionship: Taking a client to the shops; going to the garden centre; walking the dog, having a chat over a coffee.

Home help: Tidying up; meal preparation; feeding pets, vacuuming; washing up.

Personal Care: Helping in and out of bed, changing clothes, using the toilet, showering or bathing, pad changes.

The requirements we ask of you are:

  • You are aged 18 or over
  • You are a driver with your own car
  • You live in, or near, the Woking, Guildford or Byfleet area of Surrey
  • You can work a minimum of 14 hours per week, including 4 hours every weekend or 8 hours every other weekend
  • Be willing, after training, to provide personal care to our clients
