Job Description

The Assistant Business Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth running of various business processes. To report on the effectiveness of the service and to be able to control the workflow on a day-to-day basis. They are expected to be able to complete reports, deal with difficult conversations and monitor work to ensure all standards are meeting our high standards. To support the Management Team with tasks to provide the highest quality service to Clients. 

As the Assistant Business Manager your role will include: 

  • Escalating urgent messages and support resolution 

  • Report writing

  • Support on the Recruitment Process 

  • Reporting and checking Business Processes  

  • Monitoring systems to ensure compliance 

  • Collating information for reporting 

  • Collating actions and reporting on the progress of plans 

  • Monitoring and actioning daily system reports 

  • Dealing with difficult conversations to ensure compliance or resolving problems 

  • Supporting the Management team with various tasks 

Qualifications

Person Specification: 

  • Warm, friendly, positive, cheerful personality 

  • Good clear telephone manner 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to write complex documents and maintain quality 

  • Excellent use of word and the ability to understand and use systems 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills 

  • Ability to cope with a fast-changing environment 

  • Keen to learn new skills and progress career 

  • Self-driven and committed to completing tasks in a timely and accurate manner 

  • Smart, professional appearance  

Essentials: 

  • Must have previous management experience 

  • Must have a degree or equivalent 

  • Must have a clear DBS check 

  • Excellent IT skills in using of all Microsoft office programs 

Additional Information

The Assistant Business Manager works 5 out of 7 days on a rota system which may include some weekend work.
