Job Description

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Care Supervisor looking for the next stage in their career to primarily support our clients and in addition support our Care Manager in the care operations for Home Instead St Albans.  We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing the highest quality of service to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have excellent office skills and a flexible, positive, approach to work.

They must be customer focused and possess excellent communication skills.

Above all we are looking for someone who understands the bespoke service we offer.  We need someone who wants to be part of a high-quality service where everything is tailored around the client's needs.  If you feel that you can always put the client at the forefront of the service you manage, we would love to hear from you.

Some of the key tasks you would be responsible for include:

Management of the day-to-day issues that arise with our clients and be responsible for their ongoing care and support with a particular focus on person centred care.  This will involve the daily review of CAREGiver visit notes and activities.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through quality assurance visits, reviews and telephone contact.

Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions including briefing the CAREGivers on the Client care plan.

Conduct on-site support visits with CAREGivers to assess their competency and ensure that we maintain our high standards of service.

Undertake CAREGiver observations as required to support our CAREGivers as they complete their Care Certificate.

Maintain accurate client and CAREGiver electronic and paper records.

Liaising with and deputising for our Care Manager.

Implement and maintain best practice initiatives to retain our "Outstanding" rating at our next Care Quality Commission Inspection.

Regularly participate in ‘Out-of-Hours’ On-Call services as required.

Participate in team meetings.

Maintain confidentiality at all times for all Home Instead Information, including client, CAREGiver and office data.
