Job Description
This is an entry level role, designed to expose someone to all aspects of working in a home care provider environment. The person will spend time working in the field, providing care and will work alongside the office-based support team to learn about care planning, scheduling, recruitment, finance and compliance
This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 each week. It will include some evening and weekend shifts. The aim of the role is to equip the apprentice with the skills to function in a team leader/supervisory capacity within the organisation once they have acquired the appropriate skills and experience at the end of their apprenticeship period.
Ideally the apprentice will have already achieved their Level 2 diploma in Health & Social Care and will be keen to continue their studies to gain Level 3 and/or 4. They will need to be mobile as the role includes spending time visiting our clients in their homes.
Qualifications
Good telephone manner, some experience of using computer software packages and some knowledge of Microsoft office
Desire to develop and learn new skills, outgoing personality and positive ‘can do’ attitude. Our employees do understand the difference we make to the lives of the people we support
No minimum qualification criteria but candidates who have already shown a desire to work in the care sector through achieving level 2 diploma in health and social care would be welcomed
The person we recruit will have shown a genuine desire to build a career in the care sector and we will actively support them to achieve their career goals. We anticipate that the person will develop into a supervisory role in 12 months

Ideally, the person will have access to a vehicle as they will need to be mobile.
The candidate will need to provide references and successfully complete an enhanced DBS disclosure.
