As a Field Care Supervisor, your role will include training, developing and supporting our CAREGiver team to have a great experience of working with Home Instead.

Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Home Instead training programmes to CAREGivers including Learning & Development Programme, Dementia Training, End of Life Training, Moving & Handling, Medication, Stoma Care, Catheter Care, and Basic Life Support
  • Manage completion of the Care Certificate for CAREGivers
  • Deliver training/coaching at client properties
  • Lead CAREGiver team meetings
  • Complete back to work interviews following sickness absence
  • Support CAREGivers with any queries they may have
  • Support performance management and disciplinary procedures
  • Participate in on-call duties
  • Organise, lead, and support staff retention initiatives e.g. social events, surveys, reward & recognition programmes etc.
  • Support CAREGivers with personal development plans and identify their development needs
  • Work closely with the Client Experience Team to ensure CAREGiver’s provide an outstanding client experience

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Organised and flexible to meet the needs of the business – some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Full driving licence and means of transport to provide training and support at client’s homes
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems e.g. Microsoft Office
  • Passion for delivering the highest quality care to clients and helping them to live safely and happily in their own homes

Desirable:

  • Experience of training, supporting, and supervising staff
  • Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or willing to study to complete this qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation and regulations specific to Health and Social Care
  • Training qualification or willing to study for this
  • Experience of using a Learning Management System (LMS)
