Job Description

The Senior CAREGiver is expected to perform a variety of duties in the completion of service for clients. The Senior CAREGiver is expected to assist and support other staff members in order to provide the highest quality service to clients.

The Senior CAREGiver is expected to be available at short notice to provide care to clients throughout the entirety of their time on duty.

Primary

  • Supervise a team of CAREGivers and clients to ensure ongoing support.
  • Provide short notice care for clients as and when required.
  • Carry out Quality assurance and Supervision duties in line with company policies.
  • Carry out follow up assessments with Clients as and when necessary.
  • Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions. Caregivers to be briefed on Client journal.
  • Shadow and carry out support visits with CAREGivers to maintain service at a high standard.
  • Update client journals as necessary, read and sign activity log sheets alerting Care Manager / Deputy Care Manger to any issues that may cause concern.
  • Maintain accurate client and CAREGiver records.
  • Carry out internal audits to ensure high levels of quality and compliance.
  • Participate in on call services as required as per the on-call rota.
  • Participate in 2nd line on-call as required as per the on-call rota.
  • Monitor, mediate, and log both client and CAREGiver activity.
  • Organise and supervise regular update meetings for your team..
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times for all Home Instead Information, including client, CAREGiver & office data.
  • Answer each incoming call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients through quality assurance (QA) visits, phone calls, cards and special events.
  • Attend training that is relevant to personal development.

  Secondary

  • Attend Meetings/Road shows & other networking events as and when required to do so.
  • Attend Team Meeting as identified by your Line Manager.

Qualifications

Passionate about delivering high quality customer service •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior role • Excellent verbal / written communication and IT Skills • Ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering high quality care • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills • Meticulous eye for detail • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to your own vehicle • NVQ level 3 or equivalent or willing work towards achieving this.

Competitive salary, Pension scheme · Accredited training ·  28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays As a Senior CAREGiver, you will have to be flexible, and be able to work between the hours of 7 am to 11 pm, subject to business need, you must also be able to work alternate weekends.
