As a Senior Accountant in the Audit practice you would have key responsibilities and opportunities to:

• Lead Audits for assigned clients, many of which are in non-profit and philanthropic organizations, performing; Employee Benefit Plan Audits (401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, profit-sharing plans, defined benefit plans, etc., and Single Audits (For-Profit& Not-for-Profit) grants, contracts, loans, property, interest subsidies, insurance, direct appropriations, endowment etc.
• Collaborate with other audit and accounting professionals within the firm's team-based culture on assigned projects
• Access to current technology and a paperless environment that creates an engaged and efficient process for you and your assigned clients.
• Continued growth opportunities to get real-time experience while you work towards your CPA license OR expand your expertise within your current CPA license.
• Collaboration and exposure to a growing Audit practice serving clients in areas of
• Be home every night as there is no travel required outside of the KC metro area.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, audit, or related field
• 2+ years’ experience in public accounting with employee benefit plan audits; single audit experience desired but not required
• CPA license desired, but not required
