We have offices in Lusaka, Zambia and representation in Botswana and Zimbabwe.  We have been trading with other countries such as Angola, Mozambique, Nigeria, Malawi, Uganda, Ethiopia, DRC, Namibia and Ghana.

Job Description

Highly experienced Export Clerk required for a very busy Export Department. Please note this is not a warehouse or fleet management role. The role involves doing all the export documentation for commodities going to various African countries. You will therefore have experience with the export requirements to various African countries and have good relationships with various Clearing Agents at the different border posts.
• We require the ideal candidate to frame export documents using Easyclear.
• Must be an expert on the Easyclear system (Cloud version)
• Must have a broad knowledge of export codes (HS Codes/Commodity Code) across a wide range of commodities
• Must have experience in the export of vehicles and the required documents and processes
• Do VOC's as and when required
• Issue SADC certificates as and when required
• Arrange Bureau Veritas inspections for export goods
• Commercial Invoicing and Packing Slips
• Book trucks, ships, airfreight, courier services as and when required
• Book the rental or purchase of containers
• Liaise with clearing agents on a daily basis
• Liaise with truck drivers on a daily basis in order to complete shipment tracking
• Able to resolve issues at the different border posts
• Keep administration duties up to date, i.e. scanning, printing, filing

 

 

Qualifications

• Matric with mathematics
• English first language
• Fully versed with Easyclear cloud version, export documentation, SADC, BV inspections, duty charges, surcharges, etc for various African countries as well as permit and license requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience on Microsoft 365, Teams would be beneficial
• Knowledge and experience with ERP computer systems
• Knowledge of truck sizes, load capacities
• At least 5+ years’ experience within logistics
Must be resident within the Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria or Fourways areas
• Own vehicle and valid drivers’ license required

 

Additional Information

1 year Limited Duration Contract. Salary to be discussed at interview.
