Job Description

Develop the sales pipeline and deliver new business from both existing and prospective clients, as well as expanding our market position in the designated territory. Your customers are small and medium-sized hotels, both part of national chains and independent market, including important ownership groups operating in hospitality industry. The position includes travel and you report to the Sales Manager for the business area.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business and responding to incoming email and phone esquires
  • Listening to customer needs and gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements for finally presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;
  • Creating detailed proposal documents, negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office, or entering figures into provided tools
  • Analyzing sales forecasts; planning and representing their company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
  • attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues as well as advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotion

Qualifications

Education:

  • At least Secondary Education is mandatory.
  • University Degree or College Diploma is preferable.

Qualities & Skills:

  • Cold Calling experience
  • Hunter mentality – experienced with digging for new leads and referrals
  • Goal focused and results-oriented
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills, positive energy
  • B2B Sales Experience
  • A good listener who is able to handle objections and close the deal
  • Written and spoken English + local language
  • Interest and strong learning skills for technical solutions and innovation
  • Driving License
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Availability to travel in Italy and abroad

Competences:

  • Hospitality background is highly recommended.
  • Customer oriented, Team player, Autonomous and Structured
  • Familiarity with Office software suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • An agile mind, a proven common sense, a strong willingness to learn and to progress
  • Understanding of Value Added Services in Managed Services operations
