Job Description

Responsibilities:

 

The project accountant position is accountable for monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments collected.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

·      Create projects in Microsoft D365

·      Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders

·      Authorize access to project accounts

·      Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management

·      Confer with receivables staff regarding unpaid contract billings

·      Report on project profitability to management

·      Create or approve all project-related billings to customers

·      Respond to requests for more detail from customers and project managers

·      Close out project accounts upon project completion

·      Manage the communication and relationship between Hitachi Solutions and customers

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate
•    Prior experience in a professional services organization (preferable IT Services)
•    Minimum two year degree with focus on Business Administration is preferred (but not demanded)
•    Experience with Service contracts 
•    Strong customer service and excellent communication skills
•    Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment, willingness to take on new tasks and challenges
