Key Responsibilities

• Develop processes, procedures, and algorithms to verify quality and integrity of data collected from various sensing modalities including camera, LiDAR, GPS, IMU, and radar.
• Facilitate requests for transferring, movement, and/or transformation of data. Ensure adherence to legal standards and regulations, including privacy and security.
• Ensure a secure and timely flow of data within and outside the organization.
• Assist in uploading and managing data on web-based user interface.
• Catalog and organize data streams and the associated sensing/hardware platforms.
• Conduct daily system monitoring to verify uptime and integrity of all hardware, systems, key processes, server resources, and completion of scheduled jobs.
• Provide specification, recommendation, and execution of large scale data applications (Petabyte scale), including data collection, management, storage, and transfer.
• Assist system administration to maintain the inventory of servers, flash drives, storage disks and other data storage devices.

• Assist system administration in performance reporting to support capacity planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.
• Preferred minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Preferred Experience with Linux and Big Data Management systems such as Hadoop.
• Preferred Experience with cloud storage and computing systems such as AWS, Azure, etc.
• Experience in supporting Big Data applications (Petabyte scale).
• Preferred proficiency in software engineering using C++, Python, or similar.
• Preferred experience in data logging and middleware software such as ROS.
