Job Description

Account Director | Remote United States

The Account Director is responsible for maintaining and growing existing client relationships for strategic accounts. Through these relationships the Account Director will be responsible for maintaining a high level of health with each account, building strategic relationships with the accounts and expanding new business within those accounts. This role is primarily focused on revenue growth and relationship management as well as client retention.

Working from home, you will also:

  • Assume ownership of implemented clients that have been transitioned from Sales
  • Act as the main point of contact for accounts being managed
  • Build, maintain and grow assigned strategic account relationships in order to create a strategic buyers’ circle within an account
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth from within accounts being managed
  • Generate and develop new users and workgroups within assigned accounts. Be able to market and differentiate our company brand in a competitive environment to achieve revenue goals
  • Take a consultative approach to understanding a client’s challenges and broadening their vision for how Modern Hire can solve those challenges
  • Follow up on leads to expand new business within accounts, identify new sales opportunities within target accounts
  • Collaborate with internal Modern Hire teams such as Training, Marketing, and Client Success to implement programs for accounts that will drive client health and adoption
  • Perform client research and organizational mapping for clients in order to uncover new contacts and opportunities within the account base
  • Communicate with owned clients to determine needs and satisfaction.  Must have an awareness for client contract terms at time of taking ownership
  • Work with owned clients to communicate new release information and continually work with client base to build vision for use of our solution to impact 100% of hiring use cases
  • Partner with client success to leverage client activity to drive new opportunities within other areas of the client’s business
  • Build a knowledge of our solution and industry in order to articulate our value proposition to clients
  • Record client activities and sales opportunities within Salesforce

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Account management or sales experience with a proven ability to upsell
  • Seven (7) years of experience managing enterprise accounts required, SaaS industry preferred
  • Experience in the assessment or selection industry preferred
  • Strong business acumen working with senior leadership or executives
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining strong client partnerships
  • Technical aptitude and understanding how software applications/systems work
  • Analytical ability to understand metrics and report out on and identify key insights and be able to tailor and present information to clients
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage several ongoing projects and commitments
  • Ability to troubleshoot and logically solve problems 
  • Strong documentation skills and experience managing opportunity pipeline through Salesforce.com
  • Detail oriented
