Job Description

This role requires strong customer management/project management capabilities as well as consulting and process transformation skills. This role is accountable for the overall schedule, risk, contractual obligations, and customer satisfaction across APAC projects. You will ensure plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to project challenges, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to seek opportunities to maximize customer 
satisfaction. You will also lead a small local team of Professional Services Consultants, act as first point of contact for local project escalations and engage in pre-sales activities and scoping. This role has the scope to expand as the region grows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead large, multi-product implementations, responsible for overall project ownership and project success.
  • Leverage SaaS industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
  • Manage deployment project tasks including project plans, dashboards, communications, risk management/mitigation, change control, and ensuring on time delivery of milestones.
  • Coordinate project team resources across the globe, including functional and technical consultants, to ensure effective project execution on time and within budgeted hours.
  • Collaborate with other departments as needed to quickly resolve issues and provide timely communication to the customer.
  • Provide updates on a consistent basis to internal and external project stakeholders to ensure alignment on current project health and status.
  • Proactively look for ways to drive efficiencies as well as communicate project risks and issues, and drive any stakeholder decisions needed to mitigate them.
  • Execute change control process as needed to align project scope, timeline, and commercials based on changing circumstances.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction while tactfully pushing projects to completion for customers who are often resource constrained.
  • Measure project performance throughout the engagement to identify areas for improvement.
  • Enter high-risk projects and complex customer situations, identify bottlenecks, and drive the project to a successful completion.

Additional Duties

  • Manage and develop a remote local team of consultants, overseeing the project and risk portfolio across APAC.

  • Acting as first point of contact for local people and/or project issues, escalating where appropriate to RVP.

  • Contribute to pre-sales efforts, including scoping and sales activities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

To successfully execute these functions you will need:

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritise work, multi-task across many assignments and customers, and create deliverables with little or no direction.
  •  The ability to translate customer requirements and success criteria into implementation plans.
  •  Demonstrated project management success within a SaaS software company delivering technology based HR/Recruiting solutions to enterprise customers.
  • Diplomacy with customers and internal resources to handle complex customer and project issues across multiple customer stakeholders and multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in presenting to executives as well as project team leveraging the appropriate communication and delivery.
  • A focus on execution with the ability to self-manage through ambiguity.
  • The ability to lead and develop a team of consultants.
  • A passion for outstanding customer service and proven success with large and complex customers.
  • Demonstrated success in project rescue and in dealing with resource-constrained customers.
  • Ability to “roll up your sleeves” and get technical when needed.
  • Strong internal/external multi-stakeholder management skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with customers in the HR space / recruiting domain preferred.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading multiple customer SaaS implementations, with an emphasis on technical project management.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on customer and project management experience in the software industry
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and gathering requirements for the implementation of SaaS software, with an understanding of integrations, APIs, SSO, process mapping and user testing.
  • Experience coaching or mentoring others, formally or informally, would be desirable.

Up to 20% of the time

Independence of Action

Consulted on complex decisions and shares responsibility for final decisions that require interpretation; erroneous decisions may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the loss of revenue, customers or team members

 Supervisory Responsibilities

This role supervises others.

Work Environment

This position is a work-from-home role. The individual in this role must be able to work from home in an environment free from distractions, where they can attend virtual video meetings.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and remain in a stationary position most of the time.

Must be able to use hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office machinery.

Must be able to talk/hear/communicate to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
