Director - PPE Manufacturing and Engineering

  • Full-time

Company Description

The Right People for the Right Jobs.

At HireEffect, we define "right" as a combination of culture fit, shared core values, and compatibility of needs. We are always looking for outstanding professionals - both for our internal roles - and for the clients whom we serve.

Our client, an established and successful PE-backed industrial manufacturing firm, is pivoting. We are assisting with the start-up of a brand-new division to manufacture PPE (masks) using PP Meltblown Nonwoven fabric.

Job Description

You are an experienced Director of Manufacturing who knows everything there is to know about PPE Manufacturing and working with polypropylene.

You can determine the staffing needed for production output in your sleep, you can talk for hours about utilization, cycle time, cost, and quality KPIs, and you are comfortable determining forecasts, budgets, and financial models.

You are excited by the opportunity to develop and lead an organization driven by a culture of service and respect.

The idea of Customer-Centric Engineering and Manufacturing Solutions gets you out of bed in the morning.

And you are ready to tackle the challenges of launching a brand-new (well-funded) start-up manufacturing facility.

_______________________________________________________________

Working closely with the Engineering Manager you will develop and build out the new manufacturing facility, hire and supervise staff, and organize and monitor workflow schedules in a 24X7 production environment in Houston, Texas.

You will set and communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; provide coaching, counseling, and discipline; and create and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.

It will be up to you to provide the expertise and know-how to build and lead three 8-hour shifts in a fast-paced production setting.

Capital equipment is ready to be purchased, and you will play a key role in determining the right systems for the job. From the best ERP solution to the best in automation, you will be making critical business decisions.

This high-visibility position can lead to significant growth opportunities, both as the company continues to grow, and with the Private Equity firm backing it.

We're looking forward to telling you more about this role. Apply today!
