Job Description
Responsibilities / Essential Functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
1. Train, Mentor, and manage a team of Supervising Clinicians in a specific region.
2. Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of BCBAs to provide the highest quality of ABA therapy through appropriate programs, client education, and hour recommendations.
3. Conduct Supervising Clinician training for Program Development, managing difficult situations
4. Conduct Weekly one on one’s to review performance metrics and client progress.
5. Conduct quarterly assessments to drive quality and consistency throughout the organization.
6. Ensure cases are assigned to the appropriate supervising clinicians in the region and they are meeting productivity standards
7. Provide supervision to ABA Behavior Technicians on staff.
a. Provide supervision for a specified percentage of time of the hours worked by the BT. During this time, offer training in the principles of ABA to both the staff and parents. Also encourage parents to participate in the parent-training sessions.
b. Train each staff member on their client’s specific behavior treatment plan before services begin.
c. Track data in progress notes.
d. Track due dates of 3 month reviews and 6 month Assessments, VB-MAPP/ABLLS/AFLS/ (or other).
8. Develop child-specific behavior plan in accordance with the principles of ABA Therapy.
a. Monitor and adjust behavior plan throughout treatment period in accordance with the child’s progression.
b. Implement new and remove old programs once mastery in achieved.
c. Submit weekly progress notes for each client with what was covered during supervision and progress on goals.
9. Conduct psychological assessments.
a. VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS or Other at intake and every 6 months, thereafter.
10. Conduct ADOS diagnostic testing if certified.
11. Assist in developing corporate structure and in the creation of policies and procedures.
a. Participate in team meetings.
b. Develop and take on projects to improve client service and satisfaction.
c. Develop and take on projects to improve employee performance, retention, and satisfaction.
d. Develop quality initiatives that will improve referral source satisfaction, measured through volume, surveys, and other reporting methods.
e. General help to manage office staff for maximum efficiency.
f. Maintain knowledge of different programs and certifications.
i. State and Federal specific laws
ii. Tricare/Governmental programs
iii. Medical Insurance Providers
iv. Medicaid Waiver Programs
v. Ensure compliance with the above mentioned regulations.
12. Promote the growth of Highlights Healthcare and assist in pursuit of business opportunities.
a. Building relationships with current referral sources.
b. Pursuing and building relationships with new referral sources.
13. Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance of the different programs, regulations, and certifications (ex. Medicaid, Programs, State and Federal programs, state law)
Qualifications
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree and
2. BCBA Masters Level Degree and
3. Certified by the BACB.
4. Prior ABA training required.
5. A minimum of 2+ years working with children with autism spectrum disorders.
6. Previous supervision experience and/or Team Leader position.
7. Crisis Management experience preferred
8. Equipment and Technology experience
9. Previous experience with ABA software and platforms preferred
10. Work positively and favorably with clients, families, and staff.
11. Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and friendly attitude.
12. Excellent communication skills, analytical and observation skills. Knowledge of crisis management preferred.
13. Current Driver’s License in good standing with valid car insurance.
