Job Description
Responsibilities
- Act as the right hand of the Finance Manager, supporting operational finance tasks.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including invoicing (AP/AR), cash flow management, and tax compliance (ÁFA, KIVA, HIPA).
- Independently handle cash-flow forecasting and modeling, ensuring real-time updates based on financial movements.
- Manage relationships with external accountants, payroll providers, financial institutions, and grant consultants.
- Take ownership of financial consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.
- Support the administration of EU and government grants and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
- Oversee financial system transitions (e.g., BinX implementation) and process improvements.
- Provide mentorship to the finance administration team and act as the go-to person for internal financial administration matters.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certified Accountant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in Hungarian and strong English communication skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to lead and mentor.
- Experience in cash-flow management, forecasting and financial modeling.
- Effective communication with internal teams and external financial partners.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
Nice to have
- Background in financial consolidation and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with implementing financial systems (e.g., BinX) and driving process improvements.
- Exposure to financial processes in international entities (UK, Austria).
