Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as the right hand of the Finance Manager, supporting operational finance tasks.
  • Oversee daily financial operations, including invoicing (AP/AR), cash flow management, and tax compliance (ÁFA, KIVA, HIPA).
  • Independently handle cash-flow forecasting and modeling, ensuring real-time updates based on financial movements.
  • Manage relationships with external accountants, payroll providers, financial institutions, and grant consultants.
  • Take ownership of financial consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the administration of EU and government grants and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Oversee financial system transitions (e.g., BinX implementation) and process improvements.
  • Provide mentorship to the finance administration team and act as the go-to person for internal financial administration matters.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Certified Accountant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in Hungarian and strong English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to lead and mentor.
  • Experience in cash-flow management, forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Effective communication with internal teams and external financial partners.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-changing environment.

Nice to have

  • Background in financial consolidation and reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with implementing financial systems (e.g., BinX) and driving process improvements.
  • Exposure to financial processes in international entities (UK, Austria).
