VLER is a service-oriented, open-architecture and standards-based (e.g. compliant with Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN)) approach. The design will emphasize consistent data definitions, information and exchange protocols, and presentation standards and formats. VLER lays the foundation for a broader array of design solutions, based on joint development of common software services and reuse.

•           Ability to provide leadership to peers, management and customers in relation to data engineering principles, technologies, methods and best practices across a broad spectrum of DE disciplines.

•           Participates in client meetings and presentations and leads the discussion and presentation of data and information management material.

•           Proactively supports application teams.

•           Provides advice on complex application data issues.

•           Participates in project technical reviews.

•           Leads work product reviews.

•           Participate in formal Data Model Reviews.

•           Provides advice to business and technical personnel on data analysis principles, methods and trends.

•           Leads complex Model Conversion (data mapping) to produce a data dictionary and data mapping matrix between the external software and the internal database.

•           Designs complex Data Transformation Strategies for Data Migration.

•           Analyze and resolve or recommend solutions to highly complex technical problems such, as performance issues, reliability issues, and data quality issues.

•           Elicit review, and validate data requirements, including: Data Integration (ETL, EAI, and web services), Meta data, Modeling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical), and Data delivery.

•           Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within tight timelines while being flexible in adapting to new roles.
