Job Description

With eCommerce being one of the key levers to drive efficiency and scale for zero touch/low touch sales as part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Next (HPE Next), this coming year requires many complex projects to be run in parallel to achieve this goal. Additionally, with HPE consolidating ERP systems, this major initiative requires someone who can independently represent the needs of the e2e digital journey for the Enterprise and SMB customers. A senior eCommerce professional with deep knowledge of the industry as well as the technologies to deliver to scale is critical.


This person will use marketing skills and technologies to develop and implement the eCommerce strategy to drive efficiency in sales and grow revenue through the online channel. They will drive an intuitive, engaging, relevant and integrated online experience that drives revenues while increasing customer loyalty and building stronger customer or employee relationships. They will manage online properties (websites, portals, b2b stores, b2bi), as well as applying new technologies such as personalization, search engine marketing and optimization at a global scale, and ensure online experiences align with company’s brand identity and messaging framework.


Responsibilities:

  • eCommerce Architect: knows assets, the ecosystem, with the ability to deep dive into detailed architecture and integrations
  • Right-sourcing engagement lead: finding the most efficient and lowest cost option to build eCommerce solutions
  • Driving innovation: adopting new technologies for Search, Recommendations, UX standards, rapid prototyping, eCommerce services
  • Responsible for: Project execution, Capabilities roadmap, Asset performance, IT engagement
  • Set and lead the adoption of key web or eCommerce strategies, policies, processes and standards to reach online customers or internal audiences.
  • Develop, drive and evaluate the online customer experience strategy and roadmap spanning multiple business groups or customer sets (i.e., consumer, SMB, enterprise).
  • Develop and drive strategies for management online properties, landing pages or websites.
  • Deliver web experiences that result in significant and measurable improvements in understanding, conversion and revenue.
  • Be recognized as an authority and thought leader in the b2b eCommerce space and contribute to the development and adoption of innovative principles and practices across the company.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

A Bachelor’s degree is required for this role, with a Master’s degree or further continuing education a big plus

Expertise in off-the-shelf eCommerce platforms like Hybris, Intershop, WebSphere, Magento, including trends and technologies.

8+ years of experience in enterprise eCommerce domain.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Well-developed web analytical skills (measurement, ROI, forecasting).
  • Superior organization and program management skills.
  • Ability to link interactive plans and activities to business results.
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of interactive media, tools and technologies (all channels and pricing models).
  • Superior knowledge of Internet principles and web site production.
  • Superior knowledge of direct marketing and CRM.
  • Maintain company marketing management systems as needed.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, driving and measuring virtual teams toward common goal.
  • High levels of tact and diplomacy.
