Job Description

Spoon University is seeking two thoughtful, efficient, curious, and passionate Edit/Social Interns for the spring semester. Not only will interns write their own stories, but they’ll have opportunities to work on larger editorial projects, experiment with storytelling on social media, and create stellar SEO content. This role will also be given timely writing assignments around food news, and will be expected to work on tight deadlines and turnarounds.

  • Three (3) writing samples or clips
  • Three (3) pitches tailored to the Spoon University reader –at least one service focused and one larger-scale feature –  based on timely events at the time of application
  • A link to your portfolio if applicable

Qualifications

Being an intern at Her Campus Media means being given meaningful, fulfilling, skill-building tasks and projects that will help you learn what you are and are not interested in, teach you new skills, and set you up for success in future jobs and internships. Interns are/have:

  • Current college undergraduate
  • Strong communication, organization and strategic thinking skills
  • Interest in writing and editing
  • Working Knowledge of all G Suite platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest
  • Hardworking, detail-oriented, efficient and creative work ethic
  • Passionate about Her Campus Mission 
  • A passion for all things Gen Z
  • A knowledge and love for the food industries

Previous leadership experience and involvement in Spoon University’s community is preferred.

Additional Information

Remote internships are available to current college students year-round on a full-time or part-time basis. Interns must be able to receive academic credit and interns are paid a stipend. Hours are flexible.
