Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, solutions-oriented Associate Product Manager (APM) to join our growing Product Management team and kick our product development into high gear. The Associate Product Manager will report directly to our Director of Product Management, and collaborate with every team at Her Campus, balancing competing priorities without losing sight of our north star: building the most beloved, authentic, and cutting-edge brand and products to inspire and empower college women.

This role is ideal for a confident problem-solver who relishes any opportunity to tackle a project and run with it. You’ll work closely with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and build relationships with everyone from editorial to business development. From your first day, you’ll play an integral role in helping plan and execute our product development roadmap for 2023 and beyond. We are rapidly scaling our development resources and product goals, giving this role tremendous opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Product and other team members to scope, prioritize, QA, and implement new features and improvements on HerCampus.com, SpoonUniversity.com, CollegeFashionista.com, and our other smaller properties
  • Spearhead the launch and communication of new features and updates to our internal teams
  • Maintain internal-facing documentation for stakeholder use
  • Synthesize feedback gleaned from our internal stakeholders via brainstorming sessions and regular check-ins into actionable to-do list
  • Monitor, document, define, and prioritize site bugs and performance issues, as reported by our internal stakeholders
  • Help implement and provide strategic support for third-party technical tools, including writing company-facing documentation and providing training
  • Liaise with our editorial, marketing and events teams to digitally promote content, digital events, in-person events, or other initiatives on HerCampus.com, SpoonUniversity.com, CollegeFashionista.com, and our other smaller properties
  • Provide ad-hoc product and operations support to the wider team

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant product, project management, scrum, or operations role
  • Ideally, experience with any of the following: digital media, content management systems, scrum framework, project management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Tech savvy with a willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights
  • Self-motivated entrepreneurial thinker with a problem-solving mindset

Salary Range: $65k-72k. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.
