Job Description

Her Campus Media is seeking an Associate, Integrated Marketing (Strategy) to join our Integrated Marketing Strategy team. In this role, you oversee the brainstorming process and produce custom marketing proposals and campaign thought starters for our client partners who are looking to engage with Gen Z. Your north star is guiding and supporting the Sales team to deliver exciting, memorable campaign ideas and strategies that will keep our clients coming back for more. You will work in lockstep with your counterparts on Sales Planning, Branded, Community, Design, Events, within Integrated Marketing and more to generate 360-degree marketing campaign proposals. This role has a heavy emphasis on collaboration with other teams and keeping a pulse on competitor and industry trends to ensure our proposals and marketing strategies reflect the ever-evolving interests of this digital-first generation. This role reports directly to the Director of Integrated Marketing (Strategy).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage integrated marketing proposal process from brainstorm/conception to final product, generating innovative, insights-driven proposals for brands looking to connect with Gen Z and college audiences 

  • Work with Business Development team and internal stakeholders to plan, prepare, write, design, and produce all proposal and presentation materials for potential clients 

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders throughout the entirety of the proposal process to address feedback, answer questions and provide strategic recommendations 

  • Maintain helpful resources for proposal purposes such as imagery and screenshots, previous campaign examples, production quotes and more

  • Produce additional pitch and proposal templates and resources based on internal needs

  • Communicate and collaborate with Integrated Marketing Activation team to ensure smooth transition to post-sale execution based on proposal ideas 

  • Attend industry and client events and stay on top of industry, audience, and general marketing trends as needed to fuel continuous insights and inspiration

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in marketing and/or other relevant experience in sales, advertising, PR, or communications

  • Strong creativity and ability to think outside the box, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Thorough understanding of how marketing tactics ladder back to client objectives and goals

  • Exceptional organization and time-management skills and ability to work independently

  • Proactive and collaborative work style well suited for a nimble, highly matrixed organization

  • Quick learner, self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles

  • Preferred experience using Google Workspace, Asana, and Slack
