Job Description
Her Campus Media is seeking a part-time Campus Marketing & Community Coordinator (contracted to 20 hours per week) to support the day-to-day growth, management and development of HCM’s Spoon University Chapter Network. This person will play a critical role in growing, engaging with and developing the Spooniverse. A creative and nimble start-up culture, engaged and passionate students to mentor, and sky's-the-limit opportunities for growth make this an ideal opportunity for a talented and capable self-starter interested in a meaningful role at the forefront of the community management and campus marketing space at a profitable and fast-growing female-owned-and-operated company.
Responsibilities
- Execute community management and expansion efforts for Her Campus Media’s Spoon University Chapter Network
- Work with community leadership to conceptualize and implement innovative programming, resources and incentives for respective communities
- Evaluate new chapter applications and execute contributor onboarding process from beginning to end
- Write and compile newsletters, manage the social media groups and accounts for respective communities
- Update and maintain internal databases with key information for respective communities
- Assist with special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or on track to receive degree by 2022
- Prior involvement with Spoon University is strongly preferred
- Strong interest in community building, campus marketing and the food industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Rigorous attention to detail and eye for design
- Superior organizational abilities
- Self-starter with go-getter attitude, positive and upbeat nature, and excellent work ethic who doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty and is excited about working in a startup environment
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make decisions and manage relationships
- Fluency with social media and typical office technology and software
