Job Description

This position is in the stress lab, not cardiac rehab.  Must have stress testing experience in a hospital setting (internship is acceptable).  Must be able to work independently and able to interpret EKGs.

Schedule: Monday-Friday with weekend and holiday rotation

Role Overview

As an Exercise Physiologist, you will implement and supervise physical exercise programs for patients, ensuring their rehabilitation and recovery. You¿ll work closely with patients, peers, and medical professionals to provide personalized exercise therapy, education, and support. Your role is vital in helping patients achieve their health goals and improve their quality of life.

What You Will Do

  • Provide patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitation.
  • Plan and teach exercise therapy for patients, utilizing test data, patient status, and current medication regimens.
  • Monitor patient responses and revise plans accordingly.
  • Recognize contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise, responding appropriately, including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionals.
  • Provide exercise information to patients, peers, and the community through public speaking and education classes.
  • Ensure department equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning correctly, and maintain files, records, and reports.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Bachelor¿s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master¿s degree.
  • Stress testing experience.
