Candidate will be expected to be able to rotate to various other sites close to Novi. Shifts are 8,10 and 12 hours shifts. Candidate should be able to work minimum 1 shift per pay period and 1 Saturday every 8 weeks.

Role Overview

As a Mammography Tech, you will perform radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, aiding in the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by physicians. Your expertise ensures accurate and safe imaging, contributing to early detection and effective treatment planning. This role is essential in supporting both patients and healthcare providers in the fight against breast-related conditions.

What You Will Do

  • Perform radiologic breast imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Utilize independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning.
  • Ensure adherence to safety practices and department protocols during procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and other regulatory requirements.
  • Complete required hours of continued medical education to stay current in the field.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible). If registry eligible, must obtain registry within 12 months of hire.
  • Ability to meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria and other regulatory agency requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in mammography or breast imaging.
  • Familiarity with Henry Ford Health's systems and protocols.
