Job Title: Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech

Role Overview: As a Cardiac Arrhythmia Tech, you will play a critical role in monitoring and identifying normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry monitoring equipment. You will support patient care by notifying appropriate personnel in emergencies and maintaining cardiac monitoring equipment for all admitted, discharged, or transferred patients.

What You Will Do:
- Monitor and identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Notify appropriate personnel in case of emergency situations.
- Maintain cardiac monitoring equipment for all patients.
- Operate telemetry central station monitoring equipment competently.
- Troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment as needed.
What You Will Need:
- Required Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Successful completion of an arrhythmia course during the introductory period, including written and verbal testing. Demonstrated competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting. Ability to multitask and operate equipment in stressful or emergent situations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous health care experience such as EKG Technician, Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, and/or education in cardiac monitoring.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Successful completion, during the introductory period, of an arrhythmia course, to include written and verbal testing which will include knowledge and skill validation.
- Demonstrates competency in operating telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshooting.
- Previous health care experience such as EKG Technician, Medical Assistant, emergency Medical Technician, Nursing Assistant, and/or education in cardiac monitoring preferred.
- Must be able to multitask proficiently and operate equipment in stressful or emergent situations.
