Role Overview
As a Sr Med Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in performing routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids, ensuring accurate and timely results. Your expertise will directly support patient care by providing essential diagnostic information to healthcare providers. This role is vital in maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation in our laboratory services.
What You Will Do
- Perform routine and complex analytic procedures on blood and other body fluids using manual techniques and laboratory instruments.
- Ensure consistent quality by establishing standard work and implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Participate in applied research and development projects to introduce new technology and improved methods.
- Lead and teach laboratory functions, demonstrating technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited bachelor's degree program in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or other sciences.
- Three (3) years of experience with progressive responsibility in a clinical laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification at the technologist or medical/clinical laboratory scientist level from a nationally recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW.
