**$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS**

Department:  Family Practice-E. Jefferson

Schedule

  • Monday: Clinic hours 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Tuesday–Friday: Clinic hours 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 3rd Saturday of each month: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • No Sundays or holidays

Staff work one late evening each week on Monday, followed by Tuesday–Friday, with one of those days being a shorter shift.

Example schedule: Monday 10:00 AM–8:00 PM; Tuesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Wednesday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; Thursday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to patients. You will work under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support patient care and ensure a seamless healthcare experience.

What You Will Do

  • Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Obtain and record accurate medical histories from patients.
  • Measure and document vital signs, contributing to patient assessments.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and readiness.
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures, facilitating efficient and effective care.

Qualifications

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Additional Requirements:

    Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR

    Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR

    Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR

    Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR

    Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.

  • Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
