Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Technician-Ambulatory, you play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. Working under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, you assist in prescription processing, inventory management, and customer service. Your work directly contributes to the smooth operation of the pharmacy and enhances the patient experience.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the distribution and processing of prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Enter prescription data into the computer system accurately.
  • Handle billings, file maintenance, and receive payments for prescriptions and purchases.
  • Assist in stocking and storing pharmacy inventory.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with the public to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Valid State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) months of retail pharmacy experience.
