Job Description
Role Overview
As a Pharmacy Technician Specialist, you will coordinate and facilitate operations in key pharmacy areas, including automation, pharmaceutical waste management, regulatory readiness, and inventory control. Your work will directly support pharmacy, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring seamless and efficient patient care. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our pharmacy services.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate and facilitate operations in automation and information services, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Manage pharmaceutical waste and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor controlled substances diversion and maintain accurate inventory control.
- Provide on-call system support and solve complex technical problems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance pharmacy services.
- Support regulatory readiness and other assigned duties within the department.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least two (2) years of experience as an inpatient pharmacy technician (for inpatient setting) OR two (2) years of experience as a pharmacy technician for all others.
- Valid State of MI pharmacy technician licensure.
- PC skills as needed to perform job functions.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Availability for on-call system support.
- Ability to work designated shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience with automated pharmacy dispensing systems.
